The Cinsault adds a layer of clean, bright, juicy berry fruit over what is otherwise a weighty affair. It is enjoyable now and will develop very well over the next ten years.

Cabernet Sauvignon the king of grape varieties
When it comes to the diversity of vines, grape varieties rule the wine world. This grape is Cabernet Sauvignon, which produces fantastic wines. Therefore, our third South African king is DE TRAFFORD Cabernet Sauvignon – 2016.
The house vineyard at Mont Fleur Farm, high up (393m above sea level) on the eastern slopes of the Helderberg, is the closest mountain in Stellenbosch to the sea. A blend of black and red wild berries, some tobacco, smoke and cedar from the fine French oak gives the palate an intense structure and royal power with fine-grained tannins, leading to a long finish and ageing potential.
