The company Bouchard Finlayson is not new in our store. Bouchard Finlayson is a family business and a symbol of cooperation. The winery is in Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in South Africa, and from January, we have four new wines in our range.
SAUVIGNON BLANC – SCREW CAP – 2020
Now bottled with a screwcap to capture the fresh vibrancy and minimize bottle fluctuations, the wine displays tangy fruit aromas of apple, fig and pineapple. An approachable character and silky texture, with elements of wet stone adding to the overall complexity. A delicious and integrated finish.
BLANC DE MER – SCREW CAP – 2019
Wave after wave of refreshing pineapple and apricot fruit packed with floral scents. Silky richness and elegance entice the senses. A lemony persistence with saline accents makes for an appealing finish. It is delicious now but will develop more complexity.
Pinot Noir Tete de cuvèe – 2019
Brilliant and pure. Fresh cranberry and juicy plum aromas interwoven with savoury, exotic spices. Driven by supple and well-defined tannins, the wine glides elegantly over the length of the palate. A finely textured core of earthy salinity leads to a lingering finish.
pinot noir galpin peak – 2019
The 2019 Pinot Noir Galpin Peak shows more fruit intensity on the nose than the Tête de Cuvée, offering well-defined and fresh black cherry and raspberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, fleshy and ripe, with supple tannins, flavours of red cherry, raspberry and a hint of soy, and a gentle grip on the spicy finish.
