Babylonstoren
by Platter’s
BOEKENHOUTSKLOOF
by Platter’s
The nose is delicate, slightly dusty, and seductive with abundant aromas of dark fruit, graphite and pencil lead, and hints of sandalwood, tobacco, anise and bay leaf adding complexity. The palate is soft and supple with layers of juicy blueberry and classic cassis flavours accompanied by smoky, earthy nuances. The wine is juicy and flexible, with an attractive acidity that balances it and gives enough richness and complexity to the mid-palate.

93 Points by Platter’s
by Platter’s
Pale lemon colour that is clear, limpid and bright. It is subtle and elegant with a steely core; its aroma shows freshness and perfume to concentrated aromas of coconut, ginger, jam, and spun sugar. The careful ageing and prolonged contact with the lees have given complexity to this youthful wine.
EAGLES NEST
by Platter’s
The 2016 Eagles’ Nest Shiraz has a bright ruby colour. Perfume and floral aromas combine harmoniously with red cherry and spice on the nose. These aromas lead gracefully to a savoury, spicy palate, with star anise and clove flavours. Pure, clean red fruit flavours complement these aromas. Soft, well-integrated tannins coat the palate and lead to a distinct, fresh finish.
Glen Carlou
by Platter’s
This vintage was indeed a spectacular year for Cabernet, and this release is an excellent example of a full-bodied, fundamental Cabernet. The nose shows layers of ripe blackcurrants, red berries, mulberries and hints of cedar and walnuts. A balanced wine with a flavourful palate rounded off by subtle oak spice and firm tannins.
graham beck
by Platter’s
Of a delicate silvery pink colour with a fine perlage at the edge of the glass, the Graham Beck Methode Cap Classique Brut Rosé flows into the glass. Aromas of fresh raspberries and cherries and a hint of minerality rise to the nose. On the palate, it presents a lively mousse – berry notes and subtle hints of oyster shell wash over the tongue. Coquettish, intelligent and elegant with a balanced structure!
neil ellis
by Platter’s
The Neil Ellis Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon shimmers in the glass in an intense dark red. The bouquet is initially a little restrained but unfolds beautiful notes of liquorice, blackberries and cedar. This complexity continues on the palate here. The red wine, aged 18 months in French oak, is round and fresh, while the fine tannins provide an excellent mouthfeel. The Neil Ellis Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon is a robust red wine with good ageing potential.
Constantia Glen
by Platter’s
The nose has dark fruits such as blueberries, blackcurrants and plums. Alongside these initial ripe fruit flavours, there is a complex collection of savoury dried herb and pepper notes with complete elegance. Elegant, velvety tannins hit the palate with a lively intensity of flavour.
diemersdal
by Platter’s
Ruby red with intense tones. Its aroma opens in a series of complexities painted by the red and dark fruits in the jam, chocolate, spices and toasted notes. The taste is intense and corresponds perfectly to the bouquet perceived in the nose. A good balance between tannin and freshness fits into a whole and round body.
