This approach was developed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsetglobal.com\/\"><strong>WSET<\/strong>, Wine Spirit Education Trust<\/a>, Launched in 1969, today represented in 72 countries and 17 languages.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>There are 5 levels of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsetglobal.com\/\">Wine Spirit Education Trust<\/a>: From Beginner &#8211; that would be Level 1 &#8211; to Master of Wine.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Of course, all the wines will be tasted blind and with the <strong>BLIK<\/strong> Method goes a touch deeper than just: do I like this wine? <strong>The next question would be why?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<h3><strong>\u00abB\u00bb from balance: <\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p><strong>We deal with the quality of acidity, tannin, sweetness, body and alcohol on the palate.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>How do we feel this on the palate?<\/li>\r\n<li>Is the acid aggressive or pleasant?<\/li>\r\n<li>Are there green tannins or are they pleasant and fine-meshed?<\/li>\r\n<li>Is the sweetness-acidity game right?<\/li>\r\n<li>Is the body light or strong?<\/li>\r\n<li>Is the alcohol pleasant or burning?<\/li>\r\n<li>Are the points mentioned above coherent and pleasant?<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><strong>\u00abL\u00bb from length: <\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p><strong>Is the wine gone immediately after swallowing or spitting it out, or how long does it stay?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\r\n<h3><strong>\u00abI\u00bb in the intensity:<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p><strong>Ask yourself how intense the aromas are in the wine.
