The Major Series is a Cabernet Sauvignon, according to Falstaff: \u00aba variety that retains its typical characteristics even outside its native area in the Bordelais – even in Stellenbosch the grape does not lose its typical characteristics. The subtleties of the aromas are enhanced by the challenging 2017 vintage, which in Stellenbosch resulted in lower yields in terms of quantity, yet excellent quality. \u00abGranite soils with layers of Tukulu and Oakleaf provide a rich terroir that gives the wines exceptional depth and purity. The vineyards include nine Cabernet Sauvignon clones, carefully selected for their unique qualities. The vineyards face north and northeast to absorb as much sunlight as possible to produce the full and fruity wines that are typical of the Ernie Els Wines style.
