Donovan Rall ist mit Sicherheit einer der talentiertesten Winzer S\u00fcdafrikas. Donovan pachtet als \u00abOne-Man-Show\u00bb kleine, alte Weinparzellen im Gebiet Stellenbosch, Swartland bis nach Piekenierskloof. Er baut einige seiner Weine in kleinen Mengen auf dem Weingut Vuurberg in Stellenbosch aus und mietet sich \u00abCellar Space\u00bb im Swartland.<\/span><\/p>\n

2008 f\u00fcllte Donovan Rall seinen ersten Wein ab. Seit \u00fcber 10 Jahren finden die Rall Weine national und international grosse Beachtung und werden immer mit H\u00f6chstbewertungen ausgezeichnet. Bevor Donovan anfing, seine eigenen Weine zu erzeugen, arbeitete er z.B. mit Miles Mossop beim bekannten Weingut Tokara zusammen und machte Wein mit Eben Sadie.Donovan macht heute ebenfalls noch Weine f\u00fcr Clouds and Vuurberg.<\/span><\/p>\n

Weinstilistik<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Die beiden Top Weine der Ava Chenin Blanc und der Ava Syrah werden in geringen Mengen produziert (ca. 1200 Flaschen vom Syrah). Seine beiden Hauptweine der Rall White, eine Assemblage aus ca. 70% Chenin Blanc, 25% Verdelho und 5% Viognier und der Rall Red, eine Assemblage aus ca. 75% Syrah mit weiteren Anteilen von Carignan, Cinsault und Grenache bilden das Herzst\u00fcck seiner Produktion, welche Total nur ca. 18’000 Flaschen betr\u00e4gt. Mit dabei reinsortige Kleinstf\u00fcllungen von einem Cinsault Blanc, einem Grenache Blanc und einem Cinsault Noir.<\/span><\/p>\n
