    Old vines and granite soils<\/h4>

    The grapes come from around 35-year-old Chenin Blanc vineyards in and around Stellenbosch. These vines grow on weathered granite soils, which provide particularly fine structure and mineral tension.<\/p>

    Precision in the vineyard and the cellar<\/h4>

    The work in the vineyard follows a clear goal: quality begins with healthy grapes. Canopy management was deliberately kept minimal to allow sufficient sunlight into the fruit zone while protecting the berries from intense exposure. The grapes were hand-harvested early in the morning and pressed immediately to preserve their freshness. A short period of skin contact added extra Chenin aromas and structure.<\/p>

    Only free-run juice was used for fermentation and transferred into barrels, with no new oak employed so that the character of the terroir remains at the forefront.     The Kleine Zalze estate is one of the established names in Stellenbosch and has stood for precise, terroir-driven wines for decades. Chenin Blanc plays a central role in this. The variety is considered one of South Africa\u2019s most important white grapes and finds ideal conditions in Stellenbosch.
