Two renowned sommeliers lead the first podcast on South African wines and producers. The episodes show the problems of the sector and its particularities.

South African wine producers can rejoice: David and Jeannette Clarke’s podcast Ex Animo Wine Co. has reached 50 episodes! It is not easy to create content and surprise with interviews in this format where there is so much competition and impact. 

In these 50 episodes, they have worked to raise the profile of South African wine and its producers. «The overarching aim of the podcast is to tell the stories of South African wine, both new and old. We are interested in where we are today and how we got there» they write in their profile.

David and Jeannette Clarke are both trained sommeliers with international experience. Their modus operandi is entire with and representing a select group of producers who are passionate about the vineyards and strive to reflect them in the cellar.

According to the hosts, «this podcast has no set rules for the content they publish: the podcast consists mainly of long interviews with key figures in the South African wine industry».
