Three days of enjoyment, joie de vivre and South Africa vibes
From 28 to 30 August 2025, Zurich and Wädenswil once again transformed into a paradise for wine lovers. South Africa Days 2025 attracted around 2,000 guests and offered three days full of indulgence, joy, and unforgettable encounters.
An exclusive kick-off in Zurich’s Seefeld
The festivities began with the pre-opening on Thursday, 28 August, at the Tasting Room in Zurich’s Seefeld district. More than 250 guests not only celebrated the Tasting Room’s first anniversary but also enjoyed an exclusive wine tasting. In a stylish and artistic setting, fine South African wines were sampled, accompanied by inspiring conversations and a festive atmosphere.
The big party in Wädenswil
On Friday and Saturday, Wädenswil was entirely dedicated to South Africa. Around the KapWeine venues, visitors experienced a diverse programme with wine, cuisine, music, and good vibes. A new shuttle service provided an especially stylish arrival: in collaboration with Porsche Zentrum Oberer Zürichsee, guests were picked up directly at Wädenswil station and chauffeured to KapWeine in brand-new Porsche vehicles. Over 700 rides were counted, and the service proved highly popular.
Pure indulgence – from wine to braai
Over the three days, more than 1,500 bottles of wine were opened for tastings. From refined classics to exciting new discoveries, there was something for every taste. At the grill, more than 2,500 orders were served, with culinary highlights ranging from tender zebra steaks and ostrich fillets to rock lobsters and a fragrant chickpea stew for the veggie fans. Guests were thrilled by the diversity and authenticity of South African cuisine.
