How was the big summer party 2024?

What a fantastic party we were able to celebrate on the last weekend of August! A big thank you to everyone who was there – you made these days very special. We hope you enjoyed tasting, feasting, and celebrating with us.

This year again, the South Africa Days transformed KapWeine in Wädenswil into a place full of discoveries and joy. Our visitors, wine producers, exhibitors, and the active helpers (Cape Angels) made the event a special experience. We look back with pride at some impressive facts and figures, including the top 10 wines that were particularly popular with our guests. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event! The atmosphere was permeated with South African flair, and the days were characterized by pure enjoyment and joy!

  • 7 wine producers traveled from South Africa
  • 140+ wines were opened for tasting
  • approx. 1200 visitors were on site
  • approx. 7000 bottles found a new home
  • 313 Boerewors, 388 Zebra, 353 Ostrich and 140 Rock Lobster portions were consumed
  • 54 employees were deployed at KapWeine (Team & Cape Angels)

In conclusion, the South Africa Days were a complete success. All exhibitors, partners, wine producers, and helpers contributed with great dedication and passion to make this event unforgettable. The wonderful weather, which brought us summer temperatures, created a perfect atmosphere and contributed to the fantastic mood. The enthusiasm for the wines and the South African way of life was clearly palpable and captured in many beaming faces.
