Two renowned sommeliers host the first podcast about South African wines and producers. The episodes highlight the challenges of the sector and its unique characteristics.

South African wine producers have reason to celebrate: the podcast Ex Animo Wine Co. by David and Jeannette Clarke has reached 50 episodes! It's not easy to create content and surprise with interviews in this format, where there's so much competition and not as much impact.

In these 50 episodes, they have committed to promoting South African wine and its producers. "The overarching aim of the podcast is to tell the stories of South African wine, both new and old. We are interested in where we are today and how we got here," they write in their profile.

David and Jeannette Clarke are both trained sommeliers with international experience, and their modus operandi is to collaborate with and represent a select group of producers who are passionate about their vineyards and strive to reflect them in the cellar.

According to the hosts, "there are no fixed rules for the content they publish on this podcast: the podcast mainly consists of long interviews with key figures in the South African wine industry".
