Zurich meets South Africa
What a celebration! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made their way to the KapWeine Tasting Room on Saturday, June 28, 2025, and celebrated the South African Braai Party with us. From 12 PM to 9 PM, guests enjoyed, laughed, and tasted – making the day an unforgettable experience.
Even upon arrival, there was something special in the air: In the gallery, the impressive works by Sophie Stalder and Gabriel Mazenauer created a creative ambiance – sometimes powerful, sometimes subtle, and full of expression. Outside, the sculpture garden with its unique atmosphere invited visitors to linger and became a relaxed meeting point in the open air.
Added to this was the enticing aroma of the Braai, the South African grilling classic, which mingled with cheerful chatter and eager anticipation of a glass of wine. Because: there was much to discover!
Around 85 selected wines from South Africa were available for tasting – from elegant and classic to bold and characterful. Among them: three outstanding wineries that personally presented their wines.
Glen Carlou, Taaibosch with Le Chant and De Grendel ensured direct encounters with the Cape – glass by glass, of course – with their charm, knowledge, and personality.
The Tasting Room was bursting with life. Conversations, encounters, shared wonder, discovery, and enjoyment – for one day, our space became a vibrant oasis in the heart of Zurich, where South Africa became palpable.
