The Babylonstoren Shiraz presents itself ruby-red in the glass and offers an irresistible bouquet of cool cassis, pencil shavings, fine spices, and black pepper. Deep aromas of ripe fruits and notes of dusty violets join in, creating an enchanting bouquet that anticipates the first sip. On the palate, intense nuances of ripe cherries, soft plums, and blackcurrants unfold, paired with a velvety mouthfeel and pure elegance, culminating in a long-lasting and smooth finish.

Vinifikation The grapes are macerated on the skins for seven days, and then the must is fermented for another week. The wine is then aged in a combination of 70% new and 30% second-fill French oak barrels. After malolactic fermentation, the Syrah is racked off the lees, sulfured, and ages for a further 18 months in oak barrels before bottling.
