Grapes originate from Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge, 100% whole bunch fermentation. The nose reveals red fruits and a slightly herbaceous quality. Light-bodied with fresh acidity and a very dry finish, a fascinating rendition of the varietal, but perhaps not for everyone.

Vinifikation Crystallum, based in Walker Bay, South Africa, is a privately owned and family-run winery established in 2007. Brothers Andrew and Peter-Allan are third-generation Finlayson winemakers and sons of the man who pioneered Pinot Noir winemaking in the Hemel-en-Aarde area. They specialise in Burgundian varieties, following a low-intervention winemaking approach. Peter-Allan Finlayson leads the charge in crafting some of the finest modern SA Pinots. Neal Martin says of their wines that they are some of the best Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays coming out of South Africa.
