Medium-deep, bright red color. Beautiful red currant and leafy fynbos (herbal) complexity. Tobacco, spice, and deeper red berry fruit flavors emerge with time in the glass. Firm and irresistibly flirty with tannins. Lean, linear palate, so typical of great Cabernet Franc-based wines. Ripe red fruit and complex spice, tobacco, and herbal notes on the palate. Vibrant, long, dry, and fresh finish.

Vinifikation The grapes were hand-picked, 100% destemmed, and crushed into open-top fermenters. Spontaneous fermentation occurred at 30°C for 12 to 14 days with regular punch-downs. The wine, along with the press wine, was transferred to French oak barrels, 35% of which were new, for malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging for 19 months.
