Vinifikation Syrah and Touriga Nacional were once again the stars of the vintage. David De Trafford and I selected the best of 2 or 3 barrels from each variety and experimented with various blends. In the end, David opted for a high proportion of Syrah, and if you taste the wine now, you wouldn't believe that the Touriga Nacional content is only 15%. David wanted to add something to improve the wine, and when the 2014 vintage was ready, they revisited options to enhance the wine, following the example of the Multi Vintage 1st Edition. But the 2nd Edition is just right as it is.
