Vinifikation Richard Kershaw's immense passion and love for South Africa's Elgin region and noble grape varieties form both the inspiration and the foundation of the Kershaw Deconstructed Syrah wine series, consisting of two different Syrah clones from two adjacent vineyard parcels in the western part of the Elgin region. The Kershaw Deconstructed Syrah SH9C Groenland Bokkeveld originates from a single-clone vineyard parcel in the western part of the Elgin region, thriving on the slopes of the Groenland Mountains on Bokkeveld shale soil. When grown in cooler locations, this clone later yields wines with an almost captivating bouquet, a magnificent balance, and a heartily austere character.
