In 1702, Jan Meerendal acquired the fertile land where the vines stand today from Governor Willem Adrian Van der Stel. Meerendal's legacy continues to represent a great passion for wine. They make no compromises on quality and remain committed to creating outstanding and natural wines. Located on the outskirts of Cape Town, the vineyards benefit from the cool sea breeze, which promotes slow ripening of the grapes, thus allowing for a high concentration of fruit aromas. This wine was aged for 7 months in French oak barrels.
