A peppery, elegant Syrah. This wine presents the grape variety as pure and clear as one would expect from the Northern Rhône. Cool, refined, and with a wide range of aromas. It is rich in flavor and presents itself with firm tannins and a lot of freshness. A serious red wine. Very limited single vineyard wine – the weathered granite soil of the Paardeberg lends this Syrah its unique fragrance. Classic, traditional vinification with whole clusters, unfiltered, unfined.

Vinifikation The grapes for our Granite Syrah come from a single plot of 24-year-old bush vines, growing in the weathered granite soils of Paardeberg. This is the Syrah parcel that best expresses the Paardeberg terroir - freshness and perfume. Matured for 12 months in 500-litre French oak barrels and for 9 months in large oak foudres.
