Product Description:
Deep red, almost purple in colour, the wine has a high aroma of blackcurrants, violets and cedarwood with a hint of mint, so typical of a Jonkershoek wine. A rich, ripe, opulent yet youthful palate has plum-like fruit, a background of new oak and fine tannins. This is a multi-faceted wine that needs time to mature.

Vinifikation The must was fermented in stainless steel tanks with regular pump-overs. Before racking and light pressing, the wine was left on the skins to allow for further maceration. Malolactic fermentation took place in new French oak barrels and the wine spent 20 months in 100% new French oak barrels.
