Product Description:
The nose is floral and juicy, revealing a dusty and complex body of juicy plum skin and spiced herbs. On the palate the wine is medium to full-bodied, offering juicy dark cherry flavors with dried herbs and pink peppercorns at 14% alcohol before revealing dusty flowers with fine-grained tannins and juicy acidity. The wine finishes with a long, lingering, floral and spicy finish.

Vinifikation Made from the oldest block on the farm. This wine differs from other Shirazes in SA as it is not too spicy, but more fruit-driven. It is made in a French style, which gives it similar characteristics to a Rhône-style Shiraz. It is a more classic wine, coming from a cooler area. Three clones are used for its production, namely 174 and 99 (French) and 9 (Argentinian with a fruity character). Matured for 12 months in French oak barrels. 35% new wood, 25% second fill, 25% third fill, and 15% fourth fill. Two rackings during wood maturation. Thereafter, bottling without filtration or fining. Therefore, sediment may be present in the bottle.
