Product Description:
Rather exotic aromatics with notes of pear, peach, citrus, and even some pineapple, along with flint and a certain yeasty complexity. On the palate, it is rich and round, yet beautifully balanced thanks to the zesty acidity. Very engaging.

Vinifikation This excellent vintage was cooler than usual, and harvest commenced two weeks later than the previous vintage. The 2020 winter was wetter than usual, measuring 150mm more rainfall than average. Later-than-usual cold winter temperatures, coupled with a warmer January and February, contributed to optimal ripening conditions. Unfortunately, yields in the Chardonnay vineyard were still extremely low. These growing conditions very positively impacted the quality of the vintage, which brings out the unadulterated characteristics of the Bokkeveld Shale soils in a cooler site - a higher altitude and a cool east-facing slope.
