Vinifikation Planted in 1961, this vineyard, situated on the gentle slopes of Joostenberg, benefits from the moderating effects of this wind-swept location in Paarl. The gnarled and twisted old bush vines produce a nuanced fruit with subtle depth and wonderful intensity. The grapes are gently pressed and naturally fermented in older French oak barrels. The lees were stirred for the first month and the wine matured for a further 9 months before bottling.
