Product Description:
This young red blend from 2015 shows an impressively fragrant nose with a subtle potpourri of dried pink blossom, violets, and a hint of lavender. Dusty graphite and gravelly minerality are tightly interwoven with attractive black berries, dusty blackberry nuances, and subtle, freshly cut garden herbs. The palate is supple and exceptionally smooth and fine, with a very polished touch of lightness, elegance, and structure. There is already impressive complexity, but also a minimum of classic restraint, apparently shying away from heightened ripeness, oak, or glossy sweet fruit characters.

Vinifikation The grapes for Telos were hand-picked and transported in 15kg lug boxes to the wine farm's cold room. The berries were sorted on a vibrating table, 70% crushed, and placed in a stainless steel tank for a four-day cold maceration. The wine was fermented with native yeast strains and then pressed in a basket press. The free-run juice underwent malolactic fermentation and then matured for 22 months, 63% in new French oak barrels of medium toast. Only 1000 bottles of Telos were produced.
