Vinifikation 2019 saw the smallest yield at harvest in 14 years, due primarily to the preceding three-year drought. Quality, however, was high. Cool weather conditions led to smaller berries with higher flavor concentration and good acidity. The wine was aged for 18 months in older 300L French oak barrels, 2nd and 3rd fill (no new wood) – the balanced integrated oak served as a platform for the fruit to express itself.
