Pale to medium gold in the glass. Impressive nose with notes of dried oranges and citrus fruit, juicy fresh peach and creamy notes. On the palate, it is clean, refreshing, and structured with light spice, fresh orange citrus, yellow peach, creamy macadamia, and a finish reminiscent of freshly whipped cream.

Vinifikation This Chardonnay is a single vineyard wine, named after the stately Candlewood tree that graces the centre of the Chardonnay vineyard. A powerful and appealing Chardonnay made in our traditional style. Winter started late with warmer day and night temperatures and less rainfall than the 2016 growing season. However, a warm spring resulted in early uniform budburst. A cool but dry and windy November/December led to drier soils and small berries. January brought rain, with cool evening temperatures and moist soils allowing for a slower ripening of our grapes. The Single Tree Chardonnay was aged for 9 months in 60% new French oak barrels.
