De Toren Z

De Toren Z is the "sister wine" to Fusion V (Fusion V with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon content) and presents itself as a more accessible, softer version (47% Merlot content). If Fusion V manifests the "left bank" Bordeaux wine style with aging potential and greater presence, then Fusion Z is at home on the "right bank" of Bordeaux.

The De Toren Z was named after a special vineyard. The high Merlot content manifests itself in the taste and characteristics of the wine. Fruit-driven with an elegant interplay of acidity combined with powerful, round tannins and an intense finish. Already highly accessible, but can also be safely stored for up to 8 years to allow the wine time for the elements to integrate and to reach higher levels of complexity.

De Toren means the tower in Dutch - "the tower" in English. This tower allows the cellar to operate without any pumps, guaranteeing gentle handling of the wine with movements enabled solely by gravity. This is from grape to bottle.

De Toren Z - A blend of the 5 Bordeaux grape varieties: 2007 with 47% Merlot, 10% Cab. Sauv., 29% Cabernet Franc, 8% Malbec and 6% P.Verdot. Soft, harmonious, finesse combined with density. Great Merlot fruit with an intense finish. Accessible.
