Creation's Viognier presents a brilliant, golden-yellow color in the glass. The nose reveals all sorts of mirabelles, nectarines, apricots, and vineyard peaches. As if that weren't impressive enough, sun-warmed rocks and forest floor are added through aging in stainless steel. On the palate, the Viognier opens up pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven, and balanced. Some wines are dry on the label, others truly are. This white wine belongs to the second group, as it was vinified with just 2.4 g of residual sugar. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Viognier presents itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this youthful white wine from the Cape South Coast wine region, specifically from Walker Bay, finally delights with a beautiful ending.

Vinifikation A Biel-based winemaker in the South African wine paradise - In 2002, Neuchâtel winemaker Jean-Claude "JC" Martin (formerly of Domaine les Grillettes) and his wife Carolyn, a South African with generations of winemaking ancestors, founded the "Creation Wines" winery near Hermanus. As a member of the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative, Creation Wines is committed to protecting and preserving natural biodiversity. This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Viognier. For this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Creation, only impeccable grapes were harvested. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the press house, where they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the Viognier continues to mature on its fine lees for several months.
