A vibrant, deep red color. On the nose, it is spicy and wild, with red berries, lavender, thyme, and rosemary. It is inky and wild but has beautiful freshness and mid-palate concentration. It has a fleshy character, entwined with rich dark spices and chocolate. It is elegant and powerful, with youthful freshness yet deep concentration and a structured, firm tannin profile.

Vinifikation David Trafford's Sijnn project is located in Malgas on the Breede River. Forty kilometers from all other vineyards, the incredibly rocky soil and the microclimate influenced by the Breede River are unique in South Africa. The Sijnn Red was aged for 18 months in oak barrels, 20% of which were new.
