Product Description:
The wine has an attractive nose of blackberries, raspberry coulis, a hint of licorice and anise. On the palate, it is round, full-bodied, and grippy with layers of roasted black fruits. The wood tannins are a bit too obvious towards the end, drying out the aftertaste.

Vinifikation The Proprietors Blend is an assemblage of all six varieties grown on the estate. These vines grow on the warm northern slopes of the Helderberg within the Stellenbosch appellation. All six varieties thrive under these conditions, yielding rich, full-bodied red wines. At an altitude of approximately 250 meters above sea level, with the cooling influence of the Atlantic Ocean just 15 kilometers away, the ripening period is extended by up to 3 weeks. This blend was aged in 300-liter French oak barrels (70%) and American oak barrels (30%), with 50% new wood used.
