Vinifikation For almost two decades, Morgenster has been producing long-lived Bordeaux-style red wines. Like the noble wines of Bordeaux, Morgenster wines also need time to reveal their true beauty. Every vintage exhibits extremely fine tannins, elegance, and a skillful balance not often found in South African reds. This is no surprise, considering that Pierre Lurton, director of Cheval Blanc, has been consulting for the past 18 years. The Estate Reserve matured for 18 months in 60% new French oak barrels.
