Product Description:
The nose is full of earthy aromas paired with blackberries, cocoa, and forest floor, clearly showing the Merlot component compared to a more Cabernet-dominated blend. Finely structured tannins and spicy aromas like ham and dried porcini mushrooms characterize the palate. The 2017 has great depth of flavor, and on the palate it unfolds evenly, revealing a well-balanced, palatable assemblage. Given the quality of the vintage and the origin of the grapes, this is definitely a wine that is worth further aging.

Vinifikation After a strict selection of all five Bordeaux grape varieties from some of the best vineyards in Stellenbosch, the hand-picked grapes are destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks, with fermentation initiated spontaneously and with selected yeast strains. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation before being blended and aged for 18 months in 30% new French oak and 70% second and third-fill barrels.
