Product Description:
The nose is filled with aromas of yellow apples, bright lemons, white pears, fresh Golden Delicious, and vineyard peaches. Subtle hints of orange blossom make the wine interesting and give it a certain brilliance. On the palate, this wine is complex with notes of lemon, quince, pear, and apple sauce, perfectly balanced by a vibrant acidity. The finish is structured and leaves a lasting impression on the palate.

Vinifikation The oldest vineyards on Reyneke Farm are two blocks of Chenin Blanc planted in 1974 and 1976 respectively. These vineyards are registered in South Africa's Old Vine Project (OVP). The grapes were whole-bunch pressed and lightly settled. Natural fermentation occurred in a combination of 300L French barrels (2nd fill) and 2500L foudres. After 10 months of aging on the lees, the wine was racked and bottled in early January. Only a small amount of sulfur was added prior to bottling.
