Product Description:
The wine shows a gorgeous autumnal aromatic profile of forest floor, piquant fraise de bois, ploughed earth, grilled Provençal herbs and subtle nuances of summer garrigue. On the palate, the wine has a lot of texture, fine, silky tannins and a harmonious, fresh acidity. The red and black berry fruits are earthy but impressively pure and precise, with notes of blackberries, pomegranates and juicy spices. "Thief In The Night" is more Burgundy than Rhône in style.

Vinifikation The wine spent 2 weeks on skins, 20% fermented as whole bunches, to maximise the true expression of the fruit. All components originate from bush vines growing on sandstone soils and were harvested and co-fermented on the same day from the Piekenierskloof farm. The assemblage was matured for 11 months in a 3400L foudre prior to bottling.
