Product Description:
The Spier Creative Block 3 is deep red in colour with a youthful, ruby rim. Aromatic layers of subtle perfumed notes of violets, pomegranate and mulberry, followed by spicy aromas of black pepper and coriander. A dense palate also shows layers of coriander, sweet dried plums and a subtle violet fragrance. Dense, silky tannins.

Vinifikation The grapes were hand-picked before being destemmed and hand-sorted (to remove green, pink, and raisin berries). Fermentation in tank lasted up to two weeks. Malolactic fermentation and aging took place for 16 months in 90% French and 10% American 300-liter oak barrels (half first-fill, half second-fill). The wines were made individually to allow each varietal to receive undivided attention and ensure the unique characteristics of the varietals and the expression of the site were fully realized. A selective tasting from the barrels determined the composition of the blend.
