Product Description:
The 2015 Series C shows great color depth and impressive red-black to the rim. A fascinating bouquet opens with generous layers of dark fruit, an attractive cassis and French lavender perfume. Finally, notes of pencil shavings, cocoa, and cedar reveal the complexity of this assemblage. On the palate, Series C is poised, with silky and seamless integration of the tannins, a refreshing mid-palate acidity, and rich fruit and caramelized wood flavors that have great length. This wine embodies both freshness and fruit concentration, and has great potential.

Vinifikation Harvest was very early, two weeks earlier than the prior year, commencing on January 30th. Pre-ripening conditions were warm and clear with no extraordinary heat spells – perfect weather. The shorter timeframe from bloom to harvest, as well as warm but moderate temperatures, resulted in grapes arriving to the cellar in very good condition with very little sorting of individual berries required. The varietals were very expressive and the blends harmonious. Twenty-two months in sixty-seven percent new French oak barriques, with the remainder in older French oak.
