Product Description:
The wine has an attractive nose of blackberries, raspberry coulis, a touch of licorice and anise. On the palate, it is round, full-bodied and grippy with layers of roasted dark fruits. The wood tannins are a little too obvious towards the end, drying out the aftertaste.

Vinifikation The Proprietors Blend is an assemblage of all six varietals grown on the estate. These vines grow on the warm northern slopes of the Helderberg within the Stellenbosch appellation. All six varietals thrive under these conditions, yielding rich, full-bodied red wines. With an elevation of approx. 250 meters above sea level and the cooling influence of the Atlantic Ocean, just 15 kilometers away, the ripening period is extended by up to 3 weeks. This blend was aged 70% in 300-liter French oak barrels and 30% in American oak barrels, of which 50% was new wood.
