On the palate, this elegant wine delights with an invitingly fresh opening, youthful verve, and vibrant red fruit with earthy undertones. The firm tannin and a dash of Cinsault (15%) create a medium-bodied wine with a fresh, crystalline character. With further development in the glass, this Cabernet Sauvignon presents an attractive tension between red and black fruit, as well as hints of fine licorice in the focused and dry finish.

Vinifikation The Cabernet Sauvignon originates from the Helderberg region within the Stellenbosch appellation. In addition, selected parcels from various coastal regions such as Paarl and Robertson were sourced to complement the style. The Cinsault grapes come from a specific vineyard planted with 26-year-old bush vines in the Perdeberg region. The grapes were harvested by hand in the cool of the early morning. On the sorting table, all excess stems and inferior berries were removed. Fermentation took place in open 7-ton stainless steel tanks, and the mash was pumped over or punched down by hand three to five times a day to ensure maximum color extraction from the skins. Each grape variety is aged separately in oak barrels before the wines are finally blended and bottled.
