The Babylonstoren Chardonnay is a superb wine for very special moments! This dry and incredibly full-bodied white wine matured for 12 months in French oak barrels and is characterized by its wonderfully delicious nuances of tart citrus fruit and quince, underpinned by soft undertones of warm vanilla and a nutty complexity.

Vinifikation The grapes for the Babylonstoren Chardonnay were cold-pressed. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks for the first three days, after which the wine was transferred to 300-liter French oak barrels (50% new) for further fermentation. After fermentation was complete, the wine was left on its lees for 3-4 months, with bâtonnage performed every three weeks. Subsequently, the wine matured for another 12 months in French barriques before being bottled.
