Deep crimson with a rusty rim. A deep, rich color with only slight variation. Clear and intense. The bouquet offers a fine mineral and light oak base, accentuated by ash, dark chocolate, and classic cedar notes. The nose is complex and contains a hint of the three expressive Bordeaux varietals with aromas. Reminiscent of contrasts like blackberries and pencil shavings. A deep, complex creation. Vinifikation This assemblage was carefully crafted from 59% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Cabernet Franc which spent 17 months maturing in 23% new, 58% second-fill and 19% third-fill French oak barrels. The wine was un-fined and only lightly filtered to further polish the rich tannic structure. This is yet another vintage that showcases the round, velvety texture that has become synonymous with Constantia Glen THREE crafted in such a style.
