Vinifikation Grape growing is the main focus of cousins Danie and Hugo Carinus, and when you factor in their close relationship with Lukas Van Loggerenberg, South Africa's "rockstar winemaker," you get something absolutely delicious. Danie and Hugo grow their grapes in Devon Valley, Polkadraai, and Swartland, supplying these sought-after grapes to some of the leading wine producers. They are 5th-generation winemakers and also "Wine Cellar Young Guns." The grapes for this Chenin Blanc come directly from Rooidraai Farm in Swartland. We work with exceptional winemakers to produce our limited range, prioritizing quality over quantity. These wines are made with minimal intervention to honor the terroir where the vines are rooted. These wines are aged in natural vessels, including old French oak barrels and concrete egg fermenters. This wine was aged for 10 months in used French oak barrels.
