Vinifikation The oldest vineyards on Reyneke Farm are two blocks of Chenin Blanc, planted in 1974 and 1976 respectively. These vineyards are registered with South Africa’s Old Vine Project (OVP). The grapes were whole-bunch pressed and lightly settled. Natural fermentation occurred in a combination of second-fill French barriques and 2500L foudres. After 10 months of aging on the lees, the wine was racked and bottled in early January. Only a small amount of sulfur was added prior to bottling.
