On the palate, it initially reveals beautiful aromas of black fruit, complemented by delicate cedar and oak notes from barrel aging. A wine with excellent balance, a lovely core, and a long, juicy finish. This wine pairs exceptionally well with Cape Malay curries, lamb chops, and dark chocolate soufflé. It is ready to drink upon release and will continue to develop well for up to 10 years. Black fruit takes center stage, with a hint of oak in the background.

Vinifikation Beyerskloof and Pinotage represent the perfect combination in South Africa. Anri Truter, owner and winemaker at Beyerskloof, has long been referred to as "Mister Pinotage" in South Africa. Few devote themselves to this grape variety with such dedication. The Beyerskloof Pinotage Reserve was fermented in open-top fermenters for 5 days at a temperature of 25–28°C with regular punch-downs of the cap. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged for 17 months in 50% new and 50% second-fill oak barrels.
