Vinifikation This fine Cape Vintage Port was pressed from Portugal's most classic grape varieties. Traditional vinification methods were used to create a port-style wine that remains true to its roots and can be enjoyed for decades to come. The grapes were hand-picked at optimal ripeness and vinified in traditional "lagares." During fermentation, the cap was regularly submerged to transfer an optimal amount of aromas, color, and tannins into the wine. After fermentation was complete, the wine was fortified with alcohol. The wine matured for two years in large French oak barrels and was bottled unfiltered and unfined.
