A delicious and elegant wine that captivates both the nose and the palate with magnificent aromas of Turkish delight, red and black cherries, vanilla, plum, butter toffee, and an unmistakable hint of delicious chocolate, paired with soft tannins and lingering notes of toasted oak. This wine presents itself in a very modern style with the distinctive hallmark of Darling Cellars' elegance. Seductively smooth, sensuously soft with minimal and subtle sweetness, simply tasting like more and outrageously addictive - just a typical decadent Pinotage that brings the unique terroir of the Darling region into the glass.

Vinifikation The recent demarcation of the Darling district has led to Darling Cellars' focus on terroir- and varietal-specific wines. The cool and moderate West Coast climate lends itself to diverse micro and mesoclimates, which, together with the various soil types, lead to unique grapes. With 99% of all vineyards and almost the same proportion of bush vines, this is as close to what nature intended for grapes. Enticingly smooth, sensuously soft. After harvesting, the grapes were lightly crushed and fermented on the skins at 20-30°C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for 8-12 months in tanks with stave inserts.
