Lush red and black fruit aromas, paired with coffee notes, a subtle herbal hint reminiscent of pea shoots, and a seductive, slightly peaty smokiness, make this wine a complex representative of the classic Loire style. Fine, polished tannins provide a rounded mouthfeel, while the wine’s fruity intensity and structure result in a balanced and harmonious vintage. The 2022 vintage benefited from ideal growing conditions, allowing the Cabernet Franc to develop its characteristic complexity and structure. The grapes come from carefully selected parcels of the estate.

Vinifikation The "Landscape Series" is a collection of six wines that showcase our finest vineyard sites as well as some special treasures from old vines, intended to authentically reflect the elements that make them unique. We wanted the labels to mirror this approach and commissioned artist Rod Freemantle to capture the spirit of these landscapes. He painted each label using pigments he created himself by grinding stones from the vineyards where these grapes were grown and mixing them with natural binders to create earth-based paints. Every label literally contains the soil from beneath the vines—a faithful representation of the diverse landscapes that shape these wines. All grapes were destemmed and naturally fermented. Daily pump-overs until the end of fermentation. Matured for 14 months in barrel (30% new).
