Product Description:
With our Estate Red Blend, we wanted to create a wine that reflects our unique location. Over the years, we have selected the grape varieties that best suit our terroir and planted them on the lower, warmer slopes of Klein Constantia. As we are located in one of South Africa's coolest wine-growing regions, we achieve optimal ripeness in conjunction with fine tannins, which allows us to create a more elegant and refined red wine.

Vinifikation Expressive and complex, the 2023 vintage is fruit-driven with notes of red berries and dark fruits, complemented by hints of wood spices, cigar box, and graphite. On the palate, it is rich and spicy, showing beautiful intensity and depth of flavor. Notes of dark cherries and cocoa dominate, supported by a finely layered tannin structure beautifully highlighted by the Petit Verdot component. The powerful structure of the wine is balanced by freshness and elegance, leading to a long, lingering finish of dark chocolate and spices. Each plot is carefully identified, and the plots are divided into several sections to harvest at perfect ripeness. The grapes are then sorted by bunch and berry to ensure that only the healthiest berries are selected. Malolactic fermentation takes place after alcoholic fermentation, 40% in new French oak barrels. The wine then matures for 15 months before being blended and bottled.
