Vinifikation Anton Malan, the winemaker at Rainbow's End, calls this Cabernet Franc his favorite wine. The boutique winery with the auspicious name Rainbow's End is located in the highly acclaimed Stellenbosch wine region of South Africa. Winemaking has been practiced here since the late 16th century. In 1978, Jaques Malan bought Rainbow's End to realize his dream. Only red grape varieties, such as Pinotage, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, are cultivated. Each vintage is developed individually and by hand, without filtering or fining. The unique climate and the diverse soils create ideal conditions for the growth of the vines. Thus, the Malan family presents outstanding wines year after year and is now known worldwide. 12 months in French oak barrels, of which 45% are new, 30% are second-fill, and 25% are third-fill. Two rackings during barrel maturation.
