Product Description:
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon was made from clones 163, 169, and 23, which come from three different vineyard blocks. At 14% alcohol, the nose is balanced with well-rounded red and black fruit notes of fresh black raspberries, plums, and crème de cassis. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with impressive depth and complex layers that will allow this beauty to age for over a decade. Enjoy with food or by itself. Just under 9,500 bottles were produced after the wine spent a year aging in French oak barrels.

Vinifikation The boutique winery with the promising name Rainbow's End is located in arguably South Africa's most famous wine-growing region - Stellenbosch. Viticulture has been practiced here since the late 16th century. Jaques Malan bought Rainbow's End in 1978 to fulfill his dream of producing world-class wine. Only red grape varieties, such as Pinotage, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, are cultivated. Each vintage is individually aged. The special climate, typical of the region, creates ideal conditions for the growth of the grape varieties. Despite its relative proximity to the sea, the region's top vineyards reach altitudes of up to 800 meters. A Mediterranean climate prevails here year-round, characterized by low-rainfall summers and very mild, rainy winters. The soils range from sandy, nutrient-poor subsoils to rich soils with a high granite content. Thus, the Malans achieve excellent results every year, and their wines are now appreciated worldwide. The Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 12 months in 58% new wood, 17% second filling, and 25% third filling in French barrels. It is then bottled without filtration or fining. Therefore, natural deposits may be present in the bottle.
