Vinifikation
Rall Wines was founded in 2008 and is owned and run by young independent winemaker Donovan Rall. He found his inspiration in the Swartland for Mediterranean grape varieties and the dream of producing these unique and naturally styled wines under his own label from these scattered old vineyards was born. In this vintage, almost 50% of the grapes each come from old vines in Darling and bush vines from the Swartland. Both vineyards have iron-rich clay soils. The semi-carbonic fermentation takes place naturally using 100% whole grapes, before the wine ages for 8 months in a combination of concrete and old French oak barrels.
